This is a signal summing circuit. The orange and green signal are added to give the purple signal. what amplification factor of the green or orange should be summed up can be controlled with the resistors in series with sources. for example the orange signal is amplified by a factor of 2 before summing because the 1k is changed to 500 ohm.
