This circuit mimics the red and green lights used at a truck dock. The lights let a truck driver know when it is safe to back into and pull out of a dock. Green means safe to move. Red means don’t back in or pull out. 555 Timer flashes the LEDs by turning a transistor off and on for each set of LEDs. The switch at the bottom middle changes the circuit from one set of LEDs to the other.
