I've made a Simple Relay Circuit. The threshold voltage is 241V and as soon as supply voltage is increased beyond 241, it will trigger the trip amd disconnrct the load from supply, The LEDs shows the status of the load voltage, Green is below 241V and safe, Red is 241V or above or Unsafe, The base voltage is set at 200V, go ahead and increase it till 241V, the red led switches on and the circuit is opened, it is restored to normal operation when voltage is decreased below 241V (the circuit is not perfect, there are some flaws and I'm happy if you find and help me correct it)

Nice circuit as far as it goes, be aware that depending where you are in the world, the power supply has a greater tolerance than you have allowed for.

But can you ... relay on that?

what would one apply this to?

@BillyT, i know, this is just for curiosity

@grummbunger this is not a practical relay, but a relay along with circuit breaker is used for protection of power systems, without that your toaster might toast itself during power surges voltage transients etc
