When charging 6s 2.7V super capacitors via a 20 Voc solar panel a reliable disconnect is needed at about 15.6V. Through hysteresis a reconnect of the solar panel will be done at about 14.6 V. The output LED will be replaced by a photovoltaic opto coupler as a driver for a high side n channel MOSFET switch.
I had difficulties to simulate the circuit having the feedback resistor directly connected with the opamp's output. It has led to a no-solution-found error, while I could simulate the same circuit successfully in my circuit-lab account.
