You are measuring the current in a series RC circuit. Twice. It's called RC because there is a resistor and a capacitor in there. The inductor doesn't count unless you connect it btw.

Look at waveforms for about a minute. They start in phase then suddenly change to anti-phase. I guess this is what he is referring to.
