Tranzystor jest dowolny (np. bc107 lub odpowiednik).
Zasilanie jest prawie dowolne. Układ pracuje prawidłowo od 3V. Napięcie przy którym następuje zniszczenie diody LED w tym układzie to 455V :-) więc jeżeli chodzi o zasilanie to układ jest bardzo elastyczny. W rzeczywistości górne napięcie zasilania jest uwarunkowane napięciem przebicia kolektor-emiter tranzystora (np. w BC107 jest to 45V).
