Model Rocket launch Controller with PWR and ARMED status lights. 12 volt system. The resistor on the right is representing the igniter wire.

If all 3 top switches are closed it will short out the power source. Due to an inductor not providing resistance.

@wyoelk only in sim tho. In reality those ignition capsules have a reasonably high resistance. Putting something like 1ohm in series will fix the sim and the model.

There is no symbol for an igniter. I replaced the inductor with a resister. Once the igniter is burned up, the circuit become open and there is no current flow with the exception of the PWR light and that ARNED light.

Could a relay perhaps display the ignitor function better?

This launch controller with a 12 volt battery will handle F engines and below. I cannot speak for anything larger than the F engine as I have never worked with them. I don’t see any reason to put a relay in this schematic as it would only put an unnecessary complication in the build.
