This tester can test a lot of things with a voltmeter. It tests the current flow of a USB device with a voltmeter this is because the 1 ohm 25w resistor is used as a current to voltage converter. The logic source is the D+ green wire. The LED blinks a few times if the port is working and has data function. The 12 ohm 3w resistor is the load test resistor. The button allows the device to communicate with the computer when it is not being pushed. The potentiometer in this circuit represent the load of the device being tested. One ohm shunt resistor was selected because of the math is easy and limits it to 5 amps. This cable will soon be available on my online store.
