For comparing multiple bits its possible to have an inequality input and output to this circuit which is high if a higher bit value is already confirmed to be inequal.

Or the a>b and a<b outputs, and the a=b outputs.

Inequality out is ineq in or a>b out or a<b out.
Inequality in goes into all the nor gates and ineq out.
