At a local hamfest, I bought an Amprobe RS-3 clamp on ammeter. I was thinking of equal multiple branches to be able to measure higher amperage ranges.
For example: a total of 23.6 amp / 3 branch circuits. When I multiply 7.86 amp by 3 then, my 15 amp range meter could measure higher amperage circuit.
Range expanding accessories allow up to 3600 amp measure at intermittent time cycles.
