Shake to start and wait for the waveform to build up. Once it hits cut off it starts looping in a somewhat unpredictable manner. Just playing with a emmiter follower voltage amplifier (by negating some of the emitter degeneration) , wanted to turn it into an oscillator, and I did, just not the stable oscillator i was looking for.
