Nice circuit, only about 52% efficient though, its why H bridge circuits with efficiencies in the 90% are used.

Maybe diodes across the transistors to keep the spike from frying them. I hope this is a small dc motor, the full speed voltage reverse on a motor with high current can cook the winding. Be careful with motor's things can get away from you quick.
