The 555 timer in this programme has an extra terminal on top. Whats it for???

Your lamp needs to be on the "out" post of the 555, not on the cntl line, hope that helps buddy

Also... You cannot place a voltmeter in series with a power supply. It needs to be in parallel with the supply.
