The following applies to higher voltage and amperage motors!!!! One issue with this type circuit is the motor never stops spinning one direction before having power applied to reverse it. This causes a great amount of friction on the brushes and heating of the windings which can actually separate the windings and corrode the brushes. That is why dc motors without proper rectifying supplying them aren't used in ac circuits. It's been tried I'm sure. Again NOT on lower power rated motors.

It is i used for with small Watt rating brushed dc motor with gear load and I am petty sure the time delay of relay similar to stop the fwd and bwd direction of motor
