Work in progress, trying to make a dimmer switch light fixture, not sure my RC filter stage values are correct, or how to connect the potentiometer as a dimmer switch.

Just a hint as you're still working on it but the 7k resistor is only drawing extra power and the cap value is very high. I'd also put the transformer settings back to the default.

Also something most people seem to get wrong is the AC is set as peak voltage but in real life we quote rms. So if you want 120V mains power you need to set it to 169V (120 x the square root of 2).
