Voltage Regulating Zener

The zener diode will hold the voltage at its node around a constant 9V when the input voltage goes above 9V. Of course, if practically implemented, the 50 ohm resistor and the zener should be rated for over 3W, so they don't burn up (assuming the voltage source does not exceed 20V) Vary the power source above 9V and observe what happens.
