Ic555 dc voltage doubler
Can i use this for using 12 v components  in an old car that uses 6v battery? I want to use 12 v headlamps,horn,tail lamps,indicators etc. I dont want to modify any engine electrics like the dynamo,ignition etc. The battery+dynamo output is around 30amps i can also recreate the ic555's astable and flipflop circuit using high watts components to resist the amps. The current drawn by the 12 v components is around 300 w will this work?

Old car may be common live not earth/negative you should check first

it will not work because you need high capacitor on the output to make a high current and if you use electrolytes capacitor it will blowup due to high frequency. my advice is "use boost converter " ,it is the perfect choice for high wattage high efficiency work. mohammed Jawad almayahy
