Here are three NE555 circuits that work in pairs to generate an equal up frequency and down frequency. The advantage of these circuits is that some of these components used are the same to generate the up and down frequency.
Note: The circuits do not require a dual power source and the layout of the components is simply done that way to make the theory easy to understand.
