Change 300um width to 10um

Why do you think 5.23 mA is correct?
nuno407

The parameters are this. Because is the correct answer :)

I=KP/2*W/L*(VGS-VT0)^2. Input the parameters and it will give you 70mA, not 5mA. Check the parameters.

This equation are wrong...

This equation is just fine. Thanx @ZyanWu

@nuno407 which equations are you using? Probably they are better, but you have to show them at least.

For triode id=Kp(2(Vgs-Vt)Vds-Vds^2). For saturatio: Kp(Vgs-Vt)^2. Are wrong?
nuno407

And Kp=1/2*Un*Cox*(W/L)

P-channel mos is saturated right? @hurz
ZyanWu

N-channel mos is saturated, P is in triode region. This circuit simulator uses KP = un *Cox and Id=KP/2*W/L*(VGS-VT)^2. That's the problem.

@ZyanWu I finally understand! :) but this implementation is normal? :s

Simulators are just using models and models are only an abstraction of whats happened in reality. To keep things simple, models are also as simple as possible. If models are to complex simulators have stability problems or performace problems. I think EC found an excellent medium way to abstract the world of electronic! Not to complex, but also not to simple.

I think that EC is a excellent program but in my books/University every teacher say that kp=1/2 * un* Cox *(w/L)

Yeah, it's just a convention and, unfortunately, EveryCircuit doesn't have a manual because that's where all equations and conventions should be written, so that everyone knows what they've inputed as parameters... I've learned that KP is just un * Cox but some other books use other notations, for example, they use B (beta) for 1/2*un*Cox*W/L or Vov = VGS-VT, which gives Id = B*Vov^2, another equations which is also correct if the user knows the conventions used. So, EveryCircuit's lack of documentation (manual) kind of sucks. :(

Exactly..... I think in this to. Should be available some manual to explain what are the parameters... Like you say.
