Does not appear to have a good output for all that circuitry.

There's a ripple, but I've omitted any input/output filtering. It's easy to filter out the ripple.

@BillyT, that can be solved by combining a switching regulator/buck converter (to efficiently step down the voltage) with a linear regulator (to remove the ripple) like in this circuit: http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5953246985453568
