Discordo. Se essa fonte estivesse alimentando outros elementos que necessitassem de uma tensão maior e apenas uma das cargas precisasse enxergar 6V, o regulador se faz necessário. Esse é um circuito simples, apenas para estudo. Sugiro que nos apresente um circuito mais complexo com diferentes cargas, precisando de diferentes tensões alimentados pela mesma fonte.
