This can be cool mains to low voltage converter. I try such combination and works well so i will try it as real model. So i remove cap that shunt transistor increase resistor to 4 kohm and trafo back to 1:1 and 50uh inductance. Next increase up to rectified 230vac that is 325vdc and hit switch. Internal trannie cap excite whole circuit any time so no need of any shunt cap. And series pass with collector as output give great backward isolation from mains in range of megaohms (better than typical diode). Great circuit boomarked !!!
