This is a transmission controller I need it to go 1-5 and stay at 5 if the up button is pressed. Then when down shifting go 5-1 and stay at 1 if the down button is pressed again. Thanks for your help

Do you want to disable up and down buttons while you are at the max and min shift ?

Or use logic gates to go from 6 to 5 at max and from 0 to 1 at min

Posted a new for you, I guess you just want to control the up and down pins with gates. ie: Have a logic that's false when the down button is pressed and the display = 1 and use that output to control the down pin. Vice versa for up..

Check topology to connect power supply

His transmission sits in 4th gear when no solenoid is energized, so in his case 0 logic and 4 logic has the same result. Although he could use the 0 logic to control something like a clutch or whatever. (I figure there must be some way to put it in neutral)

The transmission still has the console shifter for park neutral reverse and drive. The circuit I am using is just for manual control wile in drive

The 1k resistor connected to load must be 2k resistor to make 1 the first gear
