Addition by impulse count
Select first number to be added and press the related LOAD button.
The 555 will now deliver as many impulses to the down counter as you selected.
Wait till this action has finished.
The 555 is hooked up like a count down and the logic gates will make it stop at >0<
The number you selected will be automatically added to the red Result Display via an UP counter.
Select second number and press the related LOAD button.
Wait again till this action has finished.
Same thing happens with the second number that is hooked up with another down counter and logic gates section.
The 555 delivers the amount of impulses corresponding to the selected number and counts up again the second number too.
The correct result is shown on the red display.
Press reset or add another number.
Keep in mind that you press the next number AFTER the counter has finished down to zero.
Can you now figure out how - * and / WORX?
Consider that all this action will much faster when you build this in the real non-virtual world.
The higher the clock rate the more ... And the faster.... :-)
