This boost converter works by pumping more and more energy into an LC tank circuit until the output of the circuit exceeds the amount the circuit can push into the LC tank circuit because then more is coming out than is going in. At 30V, the limit is approximately 1W, but at higher voltages the output will most likely decrease and at lower voltages the output will most likely increase.
