This circuit has two stages. If the circuit is on (or 1) it is said to be Set. If the circuit is off (or 0) it is said to be Reset. Hence the name. Flip the top STSP to the on position, then the Left STSP, then the Right STSP. Then watch the circuits behavior when you flip the Left and Right again. Without the Reset STSP (Left) closed the circuit does not respond to the Set STSP (Right) and will remain in what ever state it was in. Flip-Flop circuits are available Intergrated Circuits.
