220Vpeak is 155.6V RMS ; 155.6V x 18.3mA = 2.85WattPeak ; actually its just 2Watt when current is also transformed into rms

Hurz: the peak voltage of 220vac is not 1/2 Vrms; is Vac * √2, in this case, 220 * √2 = 311Vp. To make another type of calculations, that formula is used. But in this circuit the Vrms is used. so the RMS voltage is taken because it is what "sees" the resistance. Greetings.

Alec bobo, follow me. You set your voltage source here 220V PEAK, right? Yes right. 220V peak is just 155.6V RMS and not 220V. For 220Vrms you need 311V PEAK. My first statemente was just saying what you have in your circuit here, and this is wrong! Your calculation is also wrong. Read first then ask.
