Switches: top left is power bottom right from right to left fire, safety/enable switch and full charge override switch or as we military folk like to call it, battle short. The last allows you to discharge regardless of tank charge. This circuit charges a capacitor tank to 150v then a voltage controlled current source activates two relays, one which indicates a full charge (blue led), and one which connects voltage to the safety switch and ultimately to the fire switch at the top of the coil. This relay simultaneously disconnects the cap tank from the power source to prevent overcharge. There is also a charge status led network with red, yellow and green leds which are activated independently to indicate charge status. Enjoy. -Jolly p.s fires automatically when fire switch is left closed.

But there is a problem... The current inside the coil is oscillating and this can reduce the projectile's speed or stop it.

The current in the coil won’t oscillate if you follow the instructions listed by the original poster
