Amplifies a 1uV 24.5 MHz signal to 111uV, the total gain of the amp is 111. Its hard to know what the actual input signal amplitude is in real life as it depends on transmitter output power, antenna length and gain. 111uV sounds small but with the sensitivity of a superheterodyne receiver, the 111uV signal does produce a usable IF when mixed with a LO signal. You just have to ensure the IF amps have high gain with good filtering. This RF amp works great to receive a low power transmission (< 21dbm) from more than 30m away. dbm = 10 * Log (Pout / 0.001) Pout in Watts The output impedance of both stages is 1K ohms, and the input impedance is 1.131K ohms. Because the output and input impedances are practically the same, the amps can be coupled together without impedance matching networks.
