Using a strong magnet near the eyeball to remove a magnetic sliver from the eye is more common to me than the circuit on the left. I do not have exact electrical values for this circuit.
A textile worker had several needle particles deep inside an infected finger. Using a small compass to determine needle direction and a very powerful electromagnet at a research facility the man could move his finger between the strong magnetic poles and feel the needles move up to the surface.
