15 ohm resistor sets the LED current. Any applied voltage is possible. Zener sets the max voltage on the FET gate. Use zener if needed. Temp compensation is automatic as the transistor has a Neg temperature coefficient and cools down the led as it warms up. The voltage on the 15 ohm resistor is .55v in operation. Set the value for the desired current.
