As far as i remember, pin5 ctrl is voltage controled. Keep it up!

The 555, I remember spending weeks learning all about this chip and the dual 556 as well, ahhh, the good days haha

I made a rule to remember 2 (low number) detects low, 6 (high number) detects high 3/4th of the cap, 7 discharge 3 output.
