capacitor - in 555 monostable mode

I constructed this to help me understand how a resistor and a capacitor works in monostable mode for 555 chip. The ground with the switch is playing the role of discharger, the LED is the threshold. I think that’s the model, please let me know if I am missing anything! Thanks!

Not a lot to comment on this one - charging a cap over resistor is demonstrated successfully. A minor point may be that 350 Ohm is not a standard value from the common E12 series. Instead, 330 and 390 Ohm are. E24 series may feature 360 Ohm, but I'd have to look that up in order to be certain. Anyway, E12 series contains the "normal" values for the ubiquitous 5% tolerance resistors.
