1/2 Wave Rectifier - Circuit 1 & Circuit 2
The Left switch controls wall power.
The Right switch adds/removes the Capacitor.

Uses a bulb instead of a fuse (fuses are N/A in "EveryCircuit").

Note: The output sine wave only receives the upper half of the transformer output sine wave.

Does your power utility company provide a light bulb in series on the grounding conductor before grounding the generator?

It is an explanatory demonstration to show diode use in simple half wave rectifier ONLY. (The capacitor is another element used to show basic concepts)
