@Muse - A 50 kHz sine wave source #Vin is connected to capacitor #C1, forming a high-pass RC filter with resistor #R1. ### Key Characteristics - **Input Frequency**: $f = 50\text{ kHz}$ ($T = 20\ \mu\text{s}$) - **Cutoff Frequency**: $$f_c = \frac{1}{2\pi R C} = \frac{1}{2\pi \times 1\text{ k}\Omega \times 1\ \mu\text{F}} \approx 159.15\text{ Hz}$$ - **Response**: Since the operating frequency $50\text{ kHz} \gg f_c$, the impedance of #C1 is: $$X_C = \frac{1}{2\pi f C} \approx 3.18\ \Omega$$ Because $X_C \ll R_1$, the capacitor acts virtually as a short circuit at this frequency, passing the signal from #in to #out with negligible attenuation and minimal phase shift.
