Two Gun Reaction Time And Distance Measure

In Driver's Education, the instructor spoke that at a predetermined speed of using two pistols mounted on front bumper of car.

Instructor pushes button and fires revolver with yellow chalk bullet at pavement and when driver hears gun fire he hits the brake which fires second revolver with red chalk at pavement and brakes car to a stop.  

In simulator, lamps are solenoids with wire to pistol trigger for electrically firing revolvers.

Now, we can measure reaction distance and braking distance at a certain speed.

Do paintball guns have ammo that could do this measurement well?
