Greatly reduced stabilizing cap, which had more of an effect than I thought. It made it possible to increase the positive feedback, so the signal needs much less cleanup to be used as a clock source. It seems every passive component has a significant effect on the frequency. This is not 555-quality.

Your oscillator is using components that aren't digital. I'm using only digital components

The capacitor could explode if you haven't used the right resistor. If you use only digital components, there isn't the risk of destroying the circuit

Wow... there's a high risk of destroying digital components when they're made into oscillators -- they're not designed for it; oscillation is an analog effect.
