Because it is shorted. Voltage sources are never places in parallel except when very good balance is made between them. Otherwise there will be a current flow from the higher potential to the lower, equal to the voltage difference divided by the internal resistance of the source. Since EC sources have exactly zero ohm internal resistance the current flow would be infinite, so EC can't cope with that. Adding even 1uOhm of internal resistance will make the simulation flow.
