The 2 basic amplifier topologies of TDA2040 hi-fi 20W integrated audio amplifier. The first one represents the circuit operating with single rail power supply and the second one is for a split rail power supply. I should note that in the real circuit two caps are closely put at the Vcc+ (and the Vcc- for the second circuit) to prevent any oscillations, especially if the amplifier is more than half a feet away from the power supply circuitry. Also for the power supply use at least 2200uf capacitance for filtering because the IC has a peak current draw at 3.5A. One more thing - there is no such thing a too big heatsink ;)
Some of the IC parameters:
- Supply Voltage +/- 2.5 - 25V
- Output power 22W/4ohm 12W/8ohm
- THD at Po - 10W 0.08. Rl- 4ohm
- Power Bandwidth up to 100Khz at Po - 1W Rl - 4ohms
