Freezing circuit

If i connect control pin to ground this program will freeze .....mmmmm...strange

And what happens in real life? The 555 under test freezes, solution, don't do it.

It does not make to much sense to put zero volt to the control pin. Something in between supply and zero can do sense, but zero is not.

Circuit is right. Here 555 is in Monostable mode and pressing the button the Trigger input goes low and the Output goes high... Adjust the values of R C to see the result http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6137838335950848

@dkristal, please read the inital request again, your circuit does have 6V at control pin5 and not ZERO! Keep up listening!
