A weak battery typically has high output impedance
a) Without any load (switch open), the voltage at the battery terminal will show good voltage
b) With the load attached (switch closed), the battery will not be able to drive the LED circuit well.
A good battery has low output impedance
a) Change the 1k resistor to 10ohms and close the switch
