This is transistor as a switch not a relay. You can say they are similar in some trades but they as much different and even more.

You could actually use relays as an amplifier by using them in a very low frequency (absolute maximum 1Khz when using very high quality relays) class D configuration but this is useless. Its just educational to show that not only transistors can amplify.
