General response RL circuit. Example of reactive components reaction to changes in their conditions (Inductor current). Changes to the current at an inductor will creates an instantaneous voltage change.

Moreover there is a curve for both current and voltage in this circuit.

The instantaneous reaction must be oserved at the inductor terminals.

Take a look at the voltage difference and after the switch is closed, the inductor voltage instataneously change.
