A four diode precision bridge rectifier example. A BJT amplifier is used to compensate for the diodes' forward voltage drop. Half of the circuit is shown. Both the common-emitter and common-base signal paths are used to provide inverting and non-inverting signal behavior. This circuit also provides gain given by the ratio of the two resistances. In this example, the input waveform has 100mV, and the rectifier is configured for a gain of 10, yielding a peak output value of 1V.
