This is a common base circuit for Colpitts oscillator. It is capable to work at the highest frequences among all of the transistor connection types CE, CC, CB since for CB connection the most significant transistor internal capacitance C_collector-base is equivalently connected to the stage output. This one has the operating frequency about 50MHz.
