This circuit models how you could use a currnet source instead of a voltage source to reduce wasted power through the resistors when sensing a small resistance. You can adjust the bottom-right resistance to mimic a changing sensor resistance and see how current through the middle changes. Note that when the resistors are all equal, the total power is (1 mA)*(1 mV) = 1 uW, which is very small.
