Remove the 100ohm near the input and increase the voltage dropping capacitor's capacitance. Add a zener diode before the led for voltage regulation

@botz the 100 ohm resistor on the input limit surge current when voltage rises too fast (plug in), no zener necessary do to current limitation by capacitor. Resistor and diode limit voltage on output capacitor.
