I can't tell if EveryCircuit is glitching or not but it appears to do something very interesting... The diagram functions based on resonant inductive coupling, which Meyl interprets through his theory of potential vortices: Signal Generation: The waveform generator sends an alternating current to the transmitter's primary coil. Resonance: The system is tuned so the transmitter and receiver coils share the exact same resonant frequency. Meyl emphasizes that the phase shift between the two coils must be opposite (180 degrees) for maximum effect. Field Formation: According to Meyl, the specific geometry of the pancake coil and the high-frequency oscillation create "potential vortices" in the electric field. He claims these vortices detach from the coil as longitudinal scalar waves, distinct from standard transverse electromagnetic waves. Energy Transfer: These waves allegedly travel to the receiver coil, inducing a voltage sufficient to light the LEDs without a physical wire connection. Meyl argues that unlike standard radio waves (which follow the inverse-square law and disperse), scalar waves form a focused channel between the resonant transmitter and receiver, allowing for more efficient energy transfer. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/242200443_Scalar_Waves_Theory_and_Experiments_1
