I plan on trying this to create a brief delay for logic level inputs. Both detect the rising edge of a signal and I need one to always follow the same signal as the first with a brief delay. I do not have another GPIO to drive the second input separately and cannot add a GPIO expander without losing my sanity. Considerations for this will include the current sinking/ sourcing capabilities of my microcontroller, capacitance of the lines, component tolerances for timing, and acceptable slew rates for the inputs.
