im not seeing a change in the waveform when adjusting the 'fuzz' pot?

The original circuit uses AC128 germanium PNP transistors, which has a Vbe of 0.3V. I think it is not possible to set the EC transistors to behave if they would be made of germanium. Otherwise the circuit is exactly as described in http://www.electrosmash.com/fuzz-face Maybe you could try to change the transistor's setting to beahve more like germanium ones.
